Broadcasting Schools
There are all types of broadcasting schools, but Broadcasters Training Network ("BTN") has an astonishing success rate, as well as a sterling reputation in the industry. The reason for this is that we pre-screen our applicants for talent and drive, and then we pair them with a successful mentor who takes them to a level of confidence and success that simply can't be developed in a classroom. Our one-on-one training style is absolutely the best way to learn broadcasting techniques while developing your on-air presence.
Another reason that our students climb to success so quickly is that they have to pick a broadcasting specialty or direction during the application process. This prevents people who are vaguely interested in broadcasting, but not committed, from taking time and resources from students who are raring to go. Knowing where you want to go is of vital importance not just in broadcasting but in every industry; it's what separates the winners from the also-rans.
Not All Broadcasting Schools Are Alike!
In traditional college curriculums, students often have a very broad idea about what they want to study (i.e. "literature," or "communications," but they are never required to really determine what their specialty will be. It is this determination of a specialty that most dramatically spells success. When you know precisely where you want to go, you can take appropriate measures to get there!
BTN will place you in the type of station that you eventually want to work in. You will have a mentor there who will guide you to a comfort level with the equipment, the station, and the actual work of delivery. This means that by the time you are done training, you already have experience in your field, which explains why many of our students are hired even before they finish training!
