Your Local TV Station as Broadcasting School Classroom
Many people come to the National Broadcaster’s Training Network looking to get into radio broadcasting, but did you know that broadcasting school could be your introduction to television broadcasting as well? In fact, some broadcasting school students are even placed at TV stations rather than radio stations to begin their careers!
If you want a future in television broadcasting, NBTN could be your first step. You’ll be placed with a broadcasting school mentor at a local TV station where you can learn the ropes firsthand and see what really goes on behind the scenes in television broadcasting! Since NBTN has a larger focus on radio broadcasting, be sure you specify that you’d like to be placed at a TV station, and be prepared to wait a bit longer for placement.
Although such placement is possible, there are fewer broadcasting school mentors working in TV, so it might take a little hunting around for your NBTN representative to find someone. Don’t give up hope! You might have to commute to a station in a larger market, but the experience you’ll get apprenticing at a TV station will be absolutely worth it.
Once you’ve finished broadcasting school and landed your dream job in television broadcasting, why not share the wealth and become a broadcasting school mentor to someone just like yourself? You’ll have the experience to know what it takes to be a good mentor, and you’ll be able to give back to someone with the very same dreams you’ve seen realized. It all starts with the first step, though. For more information on becoming a television broadcaster, visit http://www.learn-by-doing.com/ today!
